Page 8 of 13 ARTICLE V MEETINGS Section 1--Worship a) Public Services shall be held regularly on the Lord's Day. b) Mid-Week Services shall be held for the purpose of prayer, praise, and Bible Study. c) The Lord's Supper shall be observed on the first Lord's Day of each month. The Fellowship Offering may be taken at this service. d) Other meetings shall be held from time to time as the interest of the Lord's work may necessitate. e) Due to any unusual circumstances, the Elders may alter temporarily any of the above meetings. Section 2--Business a) Annual Meeting. The Annual Meeting shall be held in January unless another date is specified by the church with proper notice given, at which time the annual reports shall be presented and officers elected, and such other business transacted as may be specified in the call or authorized in the By-Laws. b) Scheduled Meetings. In addition to the Annual meeting, scheduled business meetings shall be held in May and September, for the purpose of receiving reports and the transacting of such other business as may be specified in the call or authorized in the By-Laws. c) Special Meetings. Special meetings may be called by the written request of ten members of eighteen years of age or over, and of good standing or by unanimous call of the Board of Elders. Only such business can be transacted as is stated in the call for the special meeting. d) Notice of Meetings. All regular and special meetings shall be announced publicly from the pulpit during the Lord’s Day services by any officer of the church on two consecutive Lord's Days preceding the proposed meeting and shall state the purpose of any meeting other than the three regularly scheduled meetings. e) Quorum. Ten members who are eligible voters shall constitute a quorum at all meetings, except in a meeting called for the purpose of calling or dismissing a pastor, disciplining a member according to ARTICLE II, for the purchase or sale of property, or for amending the Constitution and By-Laws, at which meeting a quorum of fifty-one per cent of the qualified voters shall be required. f) Qualifications for Voting. All resident members of the church, in good and regular standing, eighteen years of age or over, shall be eligible to vote at all regular business meetings. g) Order of Business.
