  • Confessed Christ as personal Lord and Savior;
  • Experienced Christian Believer's Baptism by immersion;
  • Expressed suitable agreement with the Doctrinal Statement, the church Covenant, and By-Laws.

Applicants for membership of this church shall be recommended to the church by the Board of Elders after having given satisfactory testimony as to conversion, baptism, and views of Christian faith and practice.

The membership of this church shall consist of those who are received by vote of the church upon recommendation of the Board of Elders in one of the following ways:

  • By profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior followed by baptism; or
  • By letter of dismissal from other churches or groups holding the same faith and practice; or
  • By testimony if having been baptized and holding membership elsewhere, and unable in peculiar circumstances to obtain a letter of dismissal from the respective church or group.

Section 2--Recognition
The Board of Elders shall extend to all new members the right hand of fellowship in recognition of their admission to all rights and privileges of the church.

Section 3--Duties
Members are expected to be faithful in all the duties essential to the Christian life; faithful in church attendance; supporting the program of the church; giving regularly to the support of the work and finding an active place of service in the work of the church.

Section 4--Termination
All dismissals shall be made upon recommendation of the Board of Elders to the church.

  • Any member in good and regular standing, who so desires, may obtain a letter of dismissal to another church of like faith and practice or obtain a letter of fact for dismissal to any other church.
  • Any member who shall unite with any other church without such letter of dismissal shall be dropped automatically from the church roll.
  • The Board of Elders with the assistance of the Clerk shall constitute a committee for revising the roll. They shall meet before the Annual Meeting and take into full consideration the attitude of the members, their loyalty and their willingness to support the church and, after proper notice, shall recommend at the Annual Meeting the exclusion of delinquent members.
  • Any member absenting himself from services for six consecutive months without satisfactory excuse to the Board of Elders will not be considered in good standing, and may be dropped from the church membership on recommendation of said officials and a two-thirds vote of the members present at the Annual Meeting. Every available effort, however, should be made to restore him to active membership.
  • Any member who becomes an offense in doctrine, morals, or conduct, or by persistent breach of the covenant may have his membership terminated by the church, according to Article II.

SECTION 5 – Member Resignation
Any member who wishes to resign from membership for any reason should deliver the resignation to the Church Clerk.  Said member shall have three days to rescind the resignation.

SECTION 6 – Voting Status
Members who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to attend meetings or exercise their voting privileges, may be placed in non-voting member status either at their request or the request of their family members. Non-voting members retain all the rights and privileges of membership, except the privilege of voting and being counted for quorum purposes.
