Addiction, bondage and slavery. Those three words describe how so many people live their lives. Countless millions around this world feel trapped, unable to live life to the fullest because of a vice or addiction that they just can’t live without. When we think of addictions we normally think of the big three: drugs, alcohol and tobacco. But other addictions, such as pride, fear, and approval from others can play themselves out in just as harmful of ways. Over the next several weeks we’ll be studying the Old Testament book of Exodus to see what God has to say about slavery and bondage. We’ll find the true hope that addictions can be broken and true freedom can be found.
