Luke 2:8-20

Silent night...all was well...all was bright...peace on earth-- these are all things that we say or sing about regarding the birth of Jesus. Modern day America has bought into the cliche, Christmas card version of what things were like when Jesus was born. But the truth is, it was not a silent night, things were not at all well and there was certainly no peace on earth. Over the next three weeks we'll be talking about what the world was really like during the time of Jesus. We'll investigate how Jesus being born at the worst possible time under the worst possible circumstances has huge implications for our lives today.
